T.J. Toyota & Waite Toyota Sign On As RoC Pavement Associate Sponsors For 2009

BINGHAMTON, NY - T.J. Toyota and Waite Toyota have signed on to become an official associate sponsor of the 2009 Race of Champions Dart Asphalt Modified Tour and a participating sponsor of the 2009 Race of Champions Weekend at Oswego Speedway in September.  The two companies have also teamed up to present the 2009 RoC Late Model 125 lap special on Saturday, September 12th at Oswego Speedway.

The agreement will have an impact on both the Race of Champions Dart Asphalt Modified Tour and the Race of Champions Weekend at Oswego Speedway.  The RoC Dart Asphalt Modified Tour has nine races this season, all of which will take place in New York State.  The event locations are a natural fit for both T.J. Toyota and Waite Toyota.  The tour involvement will include special promotional programs and point fund support at the conclusion of the RoC Tour.

With the recent announcement of the new Race of Champions Weekend format, the Late Model teams will have their own night to shine with a big event on Saturday night.  The T.J. Toyota/Waite Toyota Late Model 125 will pay a minimum of $4,000 to the winner with other bonus incentives also up for grabs as well.  After many discussions with the Late Model teams the race distance was set at 125 laps to accommodate fuel and tire concerns that may have arisen.  This will certainly be a major event for the northeast Late Model stars.

Both T.J. Toyota and Waite Toyota will have involvement throughout the entire Race of Champions Weekend at Oswego Speedway.  Their involvement will be seen in all the racing divisions that weekend with giveaways and bonus opportunities.  Race of Champions owner Andrew Harpell remarked on the recent partnership, “We are excited to be able to have T.J. Toyota and Waite Toyota present the 2009 Late Model RoC event at Oswego, He added, “We wanted to present this years race as a major event and their support will certainly help to make that happen.”

T.J. Toyota General Manager Tommy Cloce commented, “We are looking forward to the opportunity of being involved with the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour and RoC weekend.  We certainly want to show our support to all of the divisions throughout the RoC weekend at Oswego Speedway.”

The Cloce family, which owns T.J. Toyota has been a great supporter of not only the Race of Champions in the past but asphalt racing in general.  Their efforts in the past have not only fielded successful race teams but have supported area racing venues with their programs.  T.J. Toyota is located in Potsdam, New York.

Waite Toyota, in Watertown has served the entire Thousand Island region of New York State since 1929.  Their close proximity to Oswego Speedway makes their involvement in the program a perfect fit.
