Oswego Speedway Bud Modified 200 General Information Sheet

Saturday, September 2nd

All cars must have transponders (they are available at the speedway if needed) – all drivers must draw for time trial order.  Time trial staging must be done on the main pit road so that tires may be marked.  If you miss your time trial position you will receive 1 timed lap at the end of the order. All cars must report to the scales directly after their timed laps. All cars must have mufflers. 4.86 gear rule is in effect.

Tires:  Time trial qualifiers (top 12 fastest) must start the feature on the time trial tires.  Those top 12 fastest will then re-draw for feature starting position.  Top 12 fastest will receive 2 additional tires for the Modified 200.  Heat race lineups for cars 13th fastest and on will be based on time.  (example 13th fastest starts pole in first heat).  Heat race cars must start the heat races on time trial tires – (we don’t want someone that may blow a motor or break in their heat race to have the expense of additional tires). Heat race qualifiers will receive 1 additional tire for a total of 7.  If a driver fails to take time they will start last in one of the qualifying heat races.  If there is a full field of Modifieds there will not be heat racing to avoid the extra expense for teams.

Modified 200:  200 laps, the race can go longer than 200 laps as the last 2 laps must be completed under green flag conditions.  Cautions count the entire event.  You cannot lose a lap in the pit area under YELLOW flag conditions.  You can only lose a lap by being in the pits during green flag laps or by being passed by the leaders under green.  Please note…when racing returns to green flag conditions off of turn 4 that lap is logged and cars in the pits are losing a lap at that point!  Under yellow flag conditions you must fall in to single file order.

Pitting:  Pit road stops will be paced by a vehicle to monitor speed.  Anyone passing the pit road pace vehicle will go to the end of the longest line.  Anyone pitting prior to the pits being called open will be placed to the end of the longest line prior to returning to green flag racing.  Unless you have a mechanical problem you must wait until the pit is open to enter. There is NO mandatory pit stop in this event.

Radios:  Two way radios are permitted.  Driver must have a monitor for the tower 454.000.  One spotter must be able to monitor the officials on 151.625.
